    • Dual-motor setup produces 445 kW and 670 Nm, enabling 0–100 km/h in 4.1 s; rear-motor versions deliver 270 kW and 450 Nm, enabling 0–100 km/h in 6.7 .

    • New all-aluminum suspension: double-wishbone front and five-link rear, with dual-chamber air suspension standard on all trims.

    • Weight distribution engineered with 81% of vehicle mass between the axles, contributing to stability and mid-engine-like balance.

    • Adjustable driving modes include Sport, Racing, Boost, and configurable torque distribution (more RWD or FWD bias).

    • Brembo four-piston front calipers provide strong, repeatable braking performance.

Technology and Features of the XPENG P7 :

    • Central 15.6-inch touchscreen, compact 8.8-inch driver display, rear display and head-up display provide multiple information interfaces.
    • China-market versions use multiple XPENG-developed AI chips, providing over 2,200 TOPS of computing capability.
    • Driver-assistance hardware includes multiple cameras, 360-degree monitoring and automated parking functions.
    • Adjustable front-seat side bolsters emphasize the P7’s more driver-focused cabin configuration.
    • Cargo capacity is approximately 575 L, expanding to around 1,900 L, supplemented by a 56 L front trunk.

    Frequently Asked Questions

The XPENG P7 is a mid-size electric fastback sedan engineered as a performance-focused EV with a sleek aerodynamic design, a slim 109 mm battery pack, and a driving experience tuned for both comfort and spirited road handling. Reviewers consistently describe the XPENG P7 as a sporty electric sedan with advanced technology, modern styling, and a driver-centric character.
The XPENG P7 offers power outputs between 180 - 370 kW and 450 - 670 Nm of torque, depending on the trim. Acceleration ranges from 4.1 - 6.7 seconds (0–100 km/h). Reviewers note that the dual-motor version feels especially strong during highway merging, mountain-road driving, and in its “Boost” mode, which delivers maximum torque response.
Depending on configuration, the XPENG P7 provides 375 – 445 km of rated range (CLTC). Experts in the transcripts describe real-world driving results around 600+ km with the large 73 kWh battery, helped by the sedan’s 0.201 Cd drag coefficient and energy efficiency as low as 12 kWh/100 km.
The XPENG P7 uses two battery options: 60 kWh LFP or 73 kWh NMC. Its 800-V architecture enables 11 – 29 minute DC fast-charging, adding up to hundreds of kilometers quickly. The battery’s thin design lowers the center of gravity for improved handling.
According to all reviewers, the XPENG P7 offers a refined balance of comfort and control thanks to a double-wishbone front suspension, five-link rear setup, and dual-chamber air suspension. In comfort mode, it absorbs bumps smoothly; in sport mode, the chassis tightens, the steering gains weight, and the car feels responsive through corners.
The XPENG P7 features XPENG’s vision- and radar-based ADAS tuned by in-house Turing chips, with up to 2,250 TOPS of computing capability (depending on version). Reviewers highlight accurate lane-centering, highway automation, adaptive behavior in traffic, self-parking, and an 87-inch AR HUD that displays live road guidance.
The XPENG P7 includes ventilated and heated seats, optional massage functions, a sculpted steering wheel with drive-mode controls, a 15.6-inch swiveling center screen, fingerprint-activated shortcut buttons, a premium 23-speaker audio system, ambient lighting, and a minimalist driver display. Seating space is good in the front, with the rear offering adequate legroom but slightly tighter headroom due to the coupe-style roofline.
The XPENG P7 offers a 575 L hatchback cargo space and more than 1,900 L with the rear seats folded. The trunk opening is wide and easy to load. Reviewers appreciate the rear practicality but note the frunk is small (56 L). Daily usability is supported by quiet cabin operation and strong energy efficiency.
The XPENG P7 features a clean fastback silhouette, thin LED lighting signatures, forged aerodynamic wheels, active aero elements, and a low-slung body that enhances stability. Reviewers repeatedly noted how the design reduces drag, enhances road presence, and aligns with XPENG’s shift toward mature, refined styling.
The XPENG P7 is available in a range of trims priced between €49,000–€72,000, depending on battery size, drivetrain (RWD or AWD), and included technology packages. Pricing reflects its positioning as a high-tech Chinese EV sedan competing with models like Xiaomi SU7, BYD Seal, and NIO ET5.

    Pros & Cons

    Pros:

The XPENG P7 delivers quick 0–100 km/h acceleration (as fast as ~4.1 s in dual-motor trim) and strong torque (up to ~670 Nm), giving it a sporty, responsive feel.
With battery options between ~60 – 73 kWh and a very sleek, 109 mm-thick underfloor pack, the P7 achieves efficient energy usage and real-world ranges that many owners and reviewers report as competitive.
The 800-volt architecture enables rapid DC charging (e.g., 10–80 % in about 12 minutes under optimal conditions), which helps make long-distance trips more practical.
Independent suspension (double-wishbone front, multi-link rear), adaptive damping (CDC), and good NVH control result in a comfortable, stable ride — capable of absorbing speed bumps and uneven roads in real-world driving.
P7 offers a premium-class array of features: large screens, advanced driver assistance (ADAS), refined interior finish, good build quality and overall “value for money” compared with many rivals.
Many reviewers highlight P7’s sleek fastback silhouette, clean surfaces, and aerodynamic efficiency — giving it a visually modern and globally competitive look.
The electric drivetrain yields silent, smooth acceleration; mechanical, tire, and wind noise are well handled, contributing to a refined cabin feel, especially at highway speeds.

    Cons:

While the suspension and balance are good, some reviewers note that when pushed hard (e.g., in tight, fast corners), the P7 can “scrabble” or show body roll — a reminder of its heavy battery mass.
Some forum threads report issues with software bugs (especially early OTA versions), occasional quality-control inconsistencies, or unclear availability of features depending on market and trim.
P7 is not suitable for towing; some reviewers note the absence of trailer/towing support or very limited “cargo + user-carrier” functionality compared to SUVs or crossover EVs.
Although powerful, some owners find the central touchscreen ergonomics sub-optimal (e.g. screen too far, UI needing tweaks), and initial software versions had some glitches, though improvements came via OTA updates.
There have been reports that certain P7+ units suffered from steering-assist failures, leading to a large recall. This raises concerns about long-term reliability and safety-system robustness for some resale/trims.
