Zeekr in Canada: status and what to expect
Zeekr hasn’t announced plans to sell in Canada, and there are no Canadian prices or dealers yet. Its parent, the Geely group, announced in October 2026 that its Geely Auto brand will enter Canada, with first vehicles due in 2027, but no Zeekr launch has been confirmed. Any China-built model would arrive under the new import rules. Canada now admits a quota of 49,000 Chinese-made EVs at a 6.1% tariff, the earlier 100% surtax has been repealed, and each shipment needs an import permit. Our page on Chinese EVs in Canada tracks those rules and every brand watching the market.
The Zeekr X is the compact entry point, 4,432 mm long, with 330 to 415 km of WLTP range depending on battery and drive. The Zeekr 7X is a midsize five-seat SUV with a 75 or 100 kWh battery and rear- or all-wheel drive. The Zeekr 001 is a long, low five-door with a 100 kWh battery and 585 to 620 km of WLTP range. WLTP is a European test cycle, and its numbers usually run higher than the NRCan ratings Canadian buyers see on window stickers. If you need an SUV you can buy here today, compare electric SUVs already available.
No Zeekr model has a Canadian price. Prices on the model cards are EVSearch estimates or overseas list prices, not official Zeekr prices. We’ll update the cards and this page once Zeekr announces Canadian pricing.
Battery chemistry depends on the version. The Zeekr X Core and Long Range and the 75 kWh 7X Core use LFP cells, while the 001, the X Privilege and the 100 kWh 7X versions use nickel-based NMC cells. Our guide to EV battery technology explains the difference. European models use the CCS2 connector, and Zeekr hasn’t said which plug a Canadian version would use, so check our guide to EV plug types. The federal Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP) only covers vehicles made in Canada or in a country with a free-trade agreement with Canada. That excludes China-built vehicles, and vehicles not made in Canada also face a $50,000 cap on the final transaction price. Provincial programs set their own rules; see EV incentives.
